Hello today Jamie the class genius & Catherine the class giggler are your blogaloggas for the 14th of March 2014

First we will talk about turbo touch .Room 24 has only had 1 lesson so we don't know much about it.We did warm ups and exercises. We worked on our portraits for many days but some people didn't finish their portraits so they had to do them at  lunchtime. Now they are finished, they look great, so you can pop in anytime to see the portraits. Last week 12 people went to compete in the swimming sports. There were 25m & 50m to do. You could choose Butterfly, Backstroke, Freestyle and Breastroke. No one did Butterfly but lots of people did Freestyle and Backstroke. Rm 24 came 2nd in the Yr5 class relays. Next we did a Listening test, we had about 20 questions to answer and Jake is a good listener.On Wednesday and Thursday we had some goal setting interviews We found out that Mr Williams now knows lots about us and we all have some things to work on. This week we managed to have all our swimming sessions after no swimming last week. There were some great improvements from Kegan, Casey, Leia, Isaac and Emily. Kegan can now swim lengths, Casey moved up a group, Leia is getting more persistent about Backstroke and Isaac and Emily can now swim half a length.One more thing... Good Morning Everyone, this is Samantha and Jake, your bloggaloggas for this week! Welcome to 2014 in Room 24. In week 3 we have been doing swimming lessons at Aquagym Monday to Friday. Unfortunately it's Friday and its our last day which means we're back to boring old work. Also this week we have been doing Prepared talks and book reviews, they have been excellent so far, we can't wait to hear some more next week. Also we have chosen some techie kids who give up some of their lunch times to work with computers and get better and be more techie. We have chosen Emma,Will,George and Isaac, they are all charming children. The terror of having homework, spelling has come back to haunt us. Sports teams have been chose to go to Hagley to play sports as well. We all have also been doing some amazing art work in room 24, come in and have a look around including our treaties and all about me posters. So far we have also chosen 2 school councillors to be working with Mr Mckenzie. they are Will and George. Our class leader this week was Jamie.
On the next blog we will post photos because the Techies are learning how to do that next week, and our blog will always be written and organised by children. See you next time!!
